Onboarding
We require you to sync your bank account(s). Our Credit Underwriting relies on Balance and Transaction data, instead of outdated credit reference agency data, so to get you your credit line quickly we need you to connect all company bank accounts when you sign up. We provide hyperlinks at the end of the signup process which you can send to your Finance team if you do not have direct access to the accounts yourself.
We partner with two platforms for our banking connections: Plaid use the best-in-class encryption protocols like the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES 256) and Transport Layer Security, alongside user consent management and multi-factor authentication. Nordigen uses only official PSD2-regulated bank connections to ensure that your financial data is safe and personal details are encrypted. Nordigen’s information security management system is ISO 27001 certified, meaning there are specific processes in place to add an extra layer of information security.
Neither tranch nor Plaid and Nordigen can view your bank login credentials or make any movements with your money.

We undertake an initial “soft” company credit check to determine eligibility. This looks at certain information on the company but does not affect the company credit score. Further information can be found in our terms of service..
We aim to provide a decision within 24 hours.
Of course! Your credit line is active for 30 days, after which you can click to refresh it. We encourage you to use us for all your large expense needs, bringing you new cash flow flexibility to focus on your growth
We are open to 99% of suppliers and will screen any new suppliers that are not already on our approved list. We are based in the US and the UK, but we can make payments to foreign entities across North America and Europe.
As a registered firm with the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK, tranch is required to comply with KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations. KYC is a way of identifying and confirming that a customer is who they say they are. It’s a multi-step process that helps to prevent the creation and use of fraudulent accounts. If you have received a request to complete our Electronic Identity Verification process, it means we need to verify your identity in order to proceed with an application. Failure to complete this to our satisfaction may, unfortunately, result in tranch being unable to proceed with providing finance.
Soft personal credit checks are required under our know your customer and credit processes. We try to limit these to directors who have a shareholding in the business, however in certain circumstances we may need to run soft checks on other directors. Soft searches have no impact on credit scores. Although an individual can see soft search “footprints” on their own file, they aren’t visible to other companies.
